It is a semi open type cenote, with a 9 meter free fall, down a wooden staircase that ends with a platform from where you access the water. The water color is blue and its water mirror is 22 meters long by 24 meters wide, with a maximum depth of 27 meters.
Its current use its for tourism, swimming, snorkeling and observing. It is one of the main cenotes used for diving activities. It has many caves and underwater caves inside. It is managed by an ejido group that provides maintenance to the installations.
It is recommended to find the local guide, the use of life jackets and avoid using sunblocks.
How to arrive
This cenote is located 53.6 km from Merida city. Take the Acanceh – Tecoh highway heading south towards the comissary of Telchaquillo, from there go east to the comissary of Pixyah, heading to Sabacché hacienda, on good contidion dirt road, to northeast on white road until reaching the cenote
